What Is It? The Advance Earned Income Credit (EIC) is a federal tax credit for working families. It allows you to get part of your Federal Earned Income Credit in every paycheck. The payments are tax-free, and your employer is required to participate if you qualify. What do I get? Up to $73 more in each paycheck (if paid bi-weekly), for a total of 1,750 for the year. How long do I get it? The Advance EIC lasts for the whole year, as long as you still qualify. You can apply again at the start of the following year. |
