What is it? HeartShare is a non-profit organization in New York City that administers The Neighborhood Heating Fund (NHF), helping qualified individuals in Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island obtain a grant toward their KeySpan heating bill. What do you get? You can receive up to $200 depending on the amount of your bill. For example, if your bill is $45 you will receive $45. If your bill is $400 you will only receive $200. You cannot receive a monetary credit. How long do you get it? NHF is available once per year to eligible households. |
||
| HeartShare funds are limited. The program operates on a first come, first served basis. This means that even if you qualify, you may not get a grant because the program might run out of money for the year. So, apply as soon as possible. | ||
