Did you know that a family of three can earn up to $30,520 and still qualify to get an ACS voucher to cover most or all of your childcare costs?

Below is a list of programs and tax credits that can help you pay for childcare. To learn more click on a program.

Benefit or Service What is it? Who gets it? What documents does client need to bring? How does client apply?
Transitional Child Care (TCC) Free or low cost childcare for people transitioning from public assistance to work for up to 1 year Individuals who:
  • left PA for work in the last 12 months
  • have a qualifying income
  • have children under age 13

    ACS Voucher Free or low cost childcare Families with a qualifying income Proof of Income Call 311 and talk to an ACS operator
    Child & Dependent Care Credit (Federal) Tax credit on Federal taxes (up to null,050 per child) Families who pay for childcare or dependent care. Childcare expenses must be for children age 12 and under. W2's and childcare provider's name, social security number or taxpayer identification number Go to a free tax preparation location to get help claiming these tax credits

    Child Tax Credit/ Additonal Child Tax Credit (Federal) Tax credit on Federal taxes Families with a qualifying income who have children under age 17 W2s
    Universal Pre-Kindergarten An education program at community organizations and public schools in NYC Four year-olds in NYC
  • Proof of you child's age
  • Proof of where you live
  • Visit your local public school or a community organization that has Universal Pre-K
